The lack of social relations and conversations leads to many mental problems, and the development of university students in Győr can help with this.

Recently, the application was recognized with the BoschxRichter Industrial Innovation Award, jointly established by the Bosch group and Richter Gedeon Nyrt.

During one or two sessions or shorter conversations, it is difficult to recognize when someone's speech changes, even though this could even be the first sign of dementia. With repeated use, the program enables continuous monitoring and monitors many aspects of speech. It also provides feedback to the user on 11 of these

Balázs Szőnyi told the newspaper, adding that several generations of women in his family were also affected by dementia and brain atrophy, hence the decision to develop.

The application monitors items such as:

• speech continuity,

• versatility,

• grammatical errors,

• articulation difficulties,

• length of sentences,

• or the amount of positive and negative terms.

A small group is already using the app. At the beginning, we were a little afraid of the reactions, since the users have to talk to a machine, but they all gave very positive feedback. They liked that someone was really listening to what they were saying and interested in them

The application can chat on many topics, and even detects which topics the user prefers and initiates a conversation accordingly. From the version with an internet connection, we can even ask about current events.

The application is not only intended for the elderly, but for anyone who feels lonely due to mental illness. Because the medication received for most mental illnesses, as well as the withdrawal from them, affects the person's communication. The application also alerts you to receive them. What's more, in the case of a shared account, relatives can also see if there is a problem. The application can also prepare a status report on the user's current skills, which can be sent to the doctor immediately.

As a next step, we would like to test whether the development can also be useful for patients treated in inpatient wards. We also want to include voice actors so that he can answer in a more human voice. For those who do not have a mobile phone or do not want to use it, we have also developed a separate device on which the application is also available

- said the students, who also added that both of them take part in several projects outside the university, but this is special for them.
