A master from Kunság presented Tiszaszentimre with a masterpiece carved from walnut wood.
There are moments in a leader's life when he is speechless with joy and gratitude.
I was part of such a moment when, on behalf of our settlement, I was able to accept the gift of Bethlehem, carved from walnut wood by woodcarver Sándor Szalmási Kunmadarason, which depicts an angel from heaven, the newborn Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the wise men from the east and the characters of everyday life in Bethlehem
- wrote Gusztáv Fodor, the mayor of the large village, social page
The master worked on the walnut masterpiece for half a year.
The Bethlehem accompanies the Advent holidays in December and visits every church in Szentimre and Újszentgyörgy, where everyone interested can admire it.
I gratefully thank the creator, Sándor Szalmási, for this priceless value, I also thank Irén Pappné Jung, who acquired this beautiful statue for our town
- remarked the mayor.
