Alex Galamb was nominated for the I Came Voluntary Award, established with the support of the Center for Family Friendly Hungary.

Every year, the award can be won by an organization that has carried out some socially useful activity for free for at least one year and has contributed to the promotion of the culture of volunteering.

This year, 64 organizations were nominated, and the four that the public can vote for until December 1 were selected. In addition to Alex's foundation, the Sütni jó foundation, the Amigos Children's Foundation, the Szentendre Árvácska Animal Protection Association and the Tatabánya 4×4 Off-Road, Civil Defense and Volunteer Firefighters Association are the other three selected organizations.

The Önkönt Jöttem award is won by the candidate who receives the most valid votes during public voting. The award will be presented to the winning organization on December 5, 2024, World Volunteer Day.

The young baker was asked how his days are going before the holidays and what activities he plans to do with his foundation.

Alex told us that in the coming weeks he will accompany his students on a professional visit to Slovakia as part of the Erasmus program, but when he is at home, he usually bakes with the children of the Sütni jó alapítvány on Sundays and they also organize trips. They went out for hamburgers, to the cinema, and since Alex has twenty-five little bakers, they baked the delicacies in three groups in the foundation's bakery.

The Alexes also started collecting for the usual Santa gifts, which they distribute to the children in their village in Hernádnémedi every year. Last year, 400 packages were distributed.

Now the collection is more difficult, the economic situation affects everyone, but the children of the foundation will definitely receive a package and I hope that in the future there will be even more that we can distribute in the village
