The mailing of questionnaires has already started.
Hungary can do it! national consultation was launched under the title, in which the government this time seeks people's opinions on economic issues. Viktor Orbán previously spoke about the fact that the more people fill out and return the questionnaires, the more authority the government will have during the battles in Brussels. It will soon be available online
The mailing of consultation questionnaires has already started. The citizens of the capital have already received these, and now the rural deliveries are on their way. It was previously revealed that the process progresses as zip codes increase. It is certain, however, that everyone must receive them by December 6, and it is possible to return them free of charge until December 20.
Government spokesperson Eszter Vitályos revealed in the latest government briefing that there is no exact date yet, but
the consultation will soon be completed online.
According to Viktor Orbán, the national consultation is important for two reasons
The national consultation was also discussed in Viktor Orbán's Friday morning radio interview. According to the head of government, this is an important tool because sending back a large number of questionnaires gives the Hungarian government great authority during the battles in Brussels.
Another important thing about the consultation is that they want to encourage as many people as possible to think about the future. If one to one and a half million people return the questionnaires, it means that at least a few sentences were spent and talked about what is to be expected in Hungary in the near future
Viktor Orbán concluded the interview.
Questions of the national consultation
The 2024 national consultation contains a total of 11 questions, among them the question of our economic sovereignty and neutrality, but economic growth, raising wages, supporting businesses and providing housing for young people also receive special attention.
• The first question raised is whether we should join the trade war or try to remain economically neutral.
• The second question is actually our economic sovereignty : do we want the government to follow Western models and the European Union when developing Hungarian economic policy, or should Hungary follow its own path.
• In the third topic, those filling out the consultation must decide whether the government should support domestic small and medium-sized enterprises against multinational companies, which want to push local businesses out of the market.
• The fourth question is related to the previous one, here we can decide whether the government should punish the multinationals that abuse their power , or accept the Brussels rules and not take action against these companies.
• In the fifth question, the government is looking for an answer to whether the Hungarians see the wage increase program , or whether they entrust wages to the economic actors.
a worker's loan to support young people is necessary , or whether the existing subsidies are sufficient.
• The seventh topic actually includes several questions. The essence of both is how employers can contribute to housing support for their employees . On the one hand, can they subsidize the rent of their employees with a tax discount, and on the other hand, can the Szép card given to employees be used for home renovations.
• The eighth topic also deals with housing, especially targeting young people. Here, too, we can decide on two things. On the one hand, do we agree that the government should build more dormitories and new dormitories, and on the other hand, we can also express our opinion on whether young people who buy apartments should be offered a discounted five percent loan.
• The ninth question is related to the 13th monthly pension , whether the government will persevere against the will of Brussels and thereby protect the financial security of our elderly compatriots.
• The tenth question of the national consultation is aimed at whether the Hungarian people consider the idea that the government would double the family tax allowance for children , or whether the majority would like migration to be supported in our country instead .
• In the last question of the national consultation, we can express an opinion on whether we agree with the government's position or whether we should accept the Brussels migration policy .
