The Hungarian tinsmith team won a gold medal in the sheet metal roofing competition in Innsbruck, at the World Championship of Young Roofers organized by the International Roofing Association (IFD), announced the Hungarian Association of Building Insulators, Roofers, Tinsmiths and Carpenters of ÉMSZ.
Áron Bacsi and András Márk made up the winning team, which was prepared by tinsmith Tibor Hidasi.
According to the announcement, ÉMSZ also started an insulation and high-roof team at the world competition, the former took fourth and the latter took sixth place.
The preparation of the teams and their participation in the competition were supported by 80 companies, businesses and individuals.
Krisztina Horváth, managing director of ÉMSZ, told MTI that
27 teams from 11 countries compared their skills at the world competition. The results of the Hungarian teams tell young people that it is worthwhile to learn a trade - he emphasized, at the same time drawing attention to the fact that in 2026 the World Championship of Young Roofers will be held in Budapest.
ÉMSZ is an organization supported by its members (individuals and businesses) and supporting members. The aim of the association, founded in 1988, is to help the development and protection of the interests of the building insulation, roofing, tinsmith and carpentry professions.
