The Civilians Podcast guest this time was Bence Rétvári, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior.

Instead of exercising power, the task of the elected members of the European Parliament would be to represent the will of the electorate, confirmed Bence Rétvári.

The parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior also drew attention to the fact that the housing and staff conditions of young people living in state care are constantly being improved. The state secretary also brought up Péter Magyar, who recently spread fake news about children's homes and social institutions. According to him, with the political influence of the Tisza Party, a kind of aggression and rudeness has entered Hungarian politics that was not typical before.

"He also started his country tour because there are huge scandals around him and he wanted to divert attention with something. He saw that Fidesz went on a national tour, so he tried to copy that as well. He tries to copy a lot of things, the Soros media in terms of content, the Fidesz-KDNP in terms of form and operation, but no one has ever reached first place by copying."

- emphasized Bence Rétvári, whose work is greatly assisted by civil society, with whom he has daily contact through various round tables and consultation forums.

"There are a lot of empathetic people in the social field, which is why they create charitable, social, helping civil organizations, which ask for help from the state to survive. In such cases, the state steps in, concludes a public service agreement, and grants the institution normative support, which they can maintain in this way. Behind the initial altruistic civic enthusiasm comes the state. The government has public service agreements with many such organizations," explained the politician.

In the interview, they also touched on the payment of the undeserved penalty imposed due to the treatment of illegal migration in Hungary. Regarding the gigantic and disproportionate fine, the state secretary said that Brussels wants to force us to carry out their will if the Hungarian people want it or if they don't.

"In spite of the fact that there has already been a national consultation, referendum, even though this topic was in the parliamentary election, they are not interested in this. They want to use all means of coercion, and in the end they awarded seven times the previously proposed amount as a punishment." Rétvári listed the grievances.

The Christian Democrat parliamentarian experiences Advent as a gift to those who live by faith, a period of spiritual replenishment. He said that the Advent period gives security and purpose in life: it is very difficult for many to find the meaning of life, but according to him, the fact that the savior was born two thousand years ago, the good God is not far away, but close, since he gave his son for us, this helps to endure all difficulties and puts humility next to every joy and success.

"The cross strengthens the weak and humbles the strong. Big things in life are ordered, they have a direction, they have a purpose. My life is not fragmented, not incomplete, we are invited to the fullness of life, to harmony. According to my conviction, faith can provide this, so it is good that there are such periods of recharging and waiting." State Secretary Bence Rétvári concluded his interview with Civilek Podcast.
