On the 20th anniversary of the referendum, the former scandal hero started a campaign against the voting rights of Hungarians across the border.

Péter Jakab, the president of the Nép Pártján Movement, wrote in his Facebook post on Thursday that his party recently started campaigning to abolish the voting rights of Hungarians across the border.

According to Jakab, this is necessary because "those who have never lived in Hungary" should not have a say in who and how the country is run.

The opposition politician, whose support for his party is measured by most pollsters between 0 and 1 percent, proved in his post that the majority of our compatriots in the motherland agree with this idea.

Jakab, who was once a politician in Jobbik, timed his entry to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the referendum on dual citizenship, in connection with which State Secretary Pál Zsigmond Barna declared, for example, that it was a "painful wound on the body of the nation" when the domestic left for political reasons " , he incited brother against brother".
