The majority of Westerners are currently still on the side of common sense against globalism in Europe.
The European Parliament parliamentary group Patriots for Europe held a meeting in the Parliament. At the meeting, László Kövér gave an opening speech, Jordan Bardella, chairman of the Patriots for Europe group, Gál Kinga, first vice-chairman of the Patriots for Europe group, and Balázs Hidvéghi, parliamentary state secretary and deputy minister of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, spoke.
Kinga Gál said that Hungary could host the Patriots' first outdoor meeting, which is a great honor.
According to him, this meeting will strengthen us in the common struggle. He emphasized that the Patriots achieved a lot of success in a short time. The party is getting stronger and more organized. However, the more successful the party is, the more attacks it faces. The past few weeks have proven that this faction is not bound by pacts or petty compromises, which is a rarity in Brussels.
Today we represent freedom in the European Parliament, he said, adding that peace and security, the protection of common borders and the improvement of European competitiveness are important to them.
László Kövér, the President of the Parliament, said in his greeting that the Hungarian patriots have been waiting for a long time to join forces with their European counterparts.
He emphasized that today Europe is exposed to many dangers, and the danger of war breaking out is imminent.
According to him, there are three main lines of defense that the Patriots must protect: we protect common sense in the Western world, we protect patriotism at the political level, and we protect national states in Europe from the plan of the United States of Europe at the legal level. According to him, the fourth line of defense means that democratic states must be protected together with American patriots. He stated that the only way to win on the first three fronts is to not lose on the fourth. The real loser would be the entire Euro-Atlantic world if all this fails.
He emphasized that the majority of Westerners are currently still on the side of common sense against globalism in Europe. The public will of the majority of Western societies can only prevail if the private powers do not hold the public powers hostage.
In this struggle, we are in a race against time, he declared.
According to him, the institution of family and religion is currently under siege in the West.
László Kövér also spoke about the fact that he can clearly perceive the current processes, that according to the data of the World Bank, in 1970 the debt of the states was 7 thousand billion dollars, nowadays this number is over 307 thousand billion. The power of states is decreasing, the power of private powers is increasing. According to him, the international financial system is nothing more than a gigantic pilot game in which states can only lose.
He pointed out that in history, so few people have had so much power to influence public opinion, referring to companies that operate digital platforms.
He emphasized that joint EU loans, or so-called perpetual bonds, worsen the situation. The European Commission represents the interests of private powers in Europe, which further destabilizes the region. He warned that if everything continues like this, then the peace, democracy and prosperity established in Europe will turn into the triad of war, dictatorship and impoverishment.
Balázs Hidvéghi said that it is a great honor for Hungary to host the Patriots' outdoor meeting. All of this proves that the efforts so far have been successful, something to be proud of. He pointed out that Fidesz's domestic success is not due to luck. after the defeat in 2002, it took eight years for Viktor Orbán to be re-elected, and since then they have governed with a two-thirds majority.
This political power is based on the people, he underlined, highlighting the civil circles that were formed after the 2002 election, which made the party stronger. "We have always tried to listen to the people and maintain cooperation with the voters, not only during the elections, but also during them. The government is now holding the 14th national consultation, where the Hungarian people can express their opinion," he explained.
According to him, by nature, patriots focus on their country, and historically, conservatives have made less international alliances, which was more the case for liberals. However, we must now do the same in the globalizing world, we must organize ourselves not only in Europe, but also worldwide. We protect values and want to make Europe great again.
We conservatives have already achieved many successes in France, Austria and the Netherlands, he mentioned a few examples, which clearly shows that conservatives are making their voices heard throughout Europe. Not for war, not for migration and not for gender - explained the position of the Hungarian government. According to him, we should not allow Brussels to tell us how and with whom to live and how to think. Pointing out that they continue to try to ignore the Patriots, as well as the opinions of the voters who voted for them. That's why we need to stick together and stay strong.
