Hundreds of people start the new year by bathing in the Balaton every year. Ice water fans are already preparing for the New Year's splash in Szigliget.
There is nothing better in this genre than the Szigliget program, the New Year's bathing even attracts foreign participants.
Last year, more than five hundred people bathed in Lake Balaton on New Year's. Everyone is invited to the event on the first of January, but on the beach already in the morning of December 24, the warm drinks start, a children's show awaits the smallest ones from 10.20, and the organizers take the Christmas tree into the water at 11.
You can sign up for the New Year's swim in Szigliget on the first of January from 11:00 a.m., at 1:35 p.m. there will be an extreme swimsuit competition, and the splashing starts at 2:00 p.m. Everyone can enter the water only after a medical examination.
