The Brussels elite trembles at our voice, the prime minister said.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received the members of the Patriots for Europe EU parliamentary group meeting in Budapest on Friday evening in the Carmelite Monastery, announced Bertalan Havasi, Deputy State Secretary in charge of the Prime Minister's Press Office.
At the event, the Prime Minister explained: the Patriots party alliance was founded to make Europe strong again.
We are well on our way to reach our goal; ours is currently the third largest faction in the European Parliament, and we have a chance to be the strongest by the end of this cycle, said the president of Fidesz.
"Wherever we look in the world, east or west, we can see the rise of sovereignist forces in elections. We just have to take the Brussels fortress. We still have to fight a lot for this goal. We must fight for our peoples, for our sovereign nations, and for an independent Europe," said Viktor Orbán in his greeting, adding: we, patriots, are the only real opposition to the Brussels elite, the new voice of Europe, which makes Brussels tremble.
The prime minister also received Jordan Bardella, the president of the French National Consolidation, in the Carmelite monastery, with whom they reviewed the political situation that emerged after the three factions of the European Parliament (the socialists, the liberals and the European People's Party) came together in a united front.
The Patriots for Europe party alliance, of which Fidesz and National Consolidation are also members, will fight against the Brussels pact, they announced.
We are the opposition of pro-migration and pro-war Brussels, the Patriots represent the future, and the Brussels Pact parties represent the failed past - it was said at the meeting.
