Norbert Heizler, the operational director of CÖF–CÖKA, reported that, similar to their 2020 campaign launched during the coronavirus epidemic, this year they want to help those in need during the Christmas period. In the coming days, the organization will deliver around twenty tons of fruit donations to 130 state children's homes across the country. He added that 9,300 employees in care and education will benefit from the apples and oranges.

In March 2020, the CÖF-CÖKA accepted the initiatives that advocated helping the social sector, which has become more difficult during the Covid closures.

"We were able to give a lot of help to social institutions, especially homes for the elderly. 11,300 residents and workers benefited from our donations, we managed to hand over nearly 63 tons of fruit donations of apples, oranges and lemons to 86 institutions at that time. It was successful and we thought that now that Christmas is here, there are still a lot of people who deserve it and are in need, and we should give them a donation."

Norbert Heizler recalled.

"Not every child is lucky enough to grow up in a family. The General Directorate of Social and Child Protection has one hundred and thirty children's homes within the state institutional system, and we intend to hand over nearly 20 tons of apples and oranges to these one hundred and thirty children's homes in the next few days.

Nine thousand three hundred people cared for and those who work there benefit from these donations."

the director stated.

"Donations can be made, we can hand them over to these institutions, if a lot of private donors have offered up to five hundred forints. There were those who offered 10,000 or even 100,000 HUF. We have collected these donations and are giving them in the form of fruits.” - informed Norbert Heizler.

"This Christmas, I urge everyone to support the needy at this time as well. Unfortunately, Christmas will pass, the fruits will run out. I urge everyone to continue to think about the people who are in need from January onwards"

- concluded his briefing by the operational director of CÖF-CÖKA.
