The Platán restaurant in Tata and the Stand restaurant in Budapest successfully retained their two Michelin star ratings, and eight other restaurants (including one new) won a Michelin star this year.
42 in Esztergom , as well as Salt, Costes, Borhonyha, Babel, Rumour and Essencia restaurants , kept their Michelin stars Pajta in Řiriszentpéter joined them - it was announced at the Michelin Guide's award ceremony in Budapest on Tuesday evening.
The Michelin Green Star for sustainability was awarded to Natura Hill in Zebegény Iszkor's restaurant in Mályinka, which was also included in the Bib Gourmand list of the Michelin Guide.
Újváros bistro (Szarvas), N28 Wine and Kitchen (Budapest), Goli (Budapest), Platán bistro (Tata), Macok (Eger), Morzsa (Pécs ), Casa Christa (Balatonszőlős), Sparhelt (Balatonfüred), Kistücsök (Balatonszemes) and Anyukám Mondta (Encs).
The best service award went to N28 Wine and Kitchen, the best young chef award went to Levente Lendvai (Virtu), while the best sommelier went to Mátyás Székely, an employee of 42 in Esztergom.
Budapest's Szaletly, Kollázs, Zazie Bistro, Cut & Barrel, Virtu, Alelí and Bilanx, Biatorbágy's Füge, Tihany's Sho Tihany and Szentendre's Teyföl were included in the Selected Restaurants selection this year.
