Everyone is rightfully outraged by the legal situation in the case of the murder of Tamás Till, according to which the perpetrator can "escape" the consequences of the crime of homicide because he was a minor at the time of the crime, so the crime has become statute-barred.
The parliamentary faction of Fidesz is initiating a change in the law in order to prevent homicide cases from becoming statute-barred, the parliamentary group's Facebook post on Wednesday reads.
As it was written: everyone is rightfully upset by the legal situation in the case of the murder of Tamás Till, according to which the perpetrator can "escape" the consequences of the crime of homicide because he was a minor at the time of the crime, so the crime has become statute-barred.
The unusual and unacceptable situation requires an immediate response, because it goes against the moral expectations of every sensible person.
For this reason, the Fidesz faction immediately initiates a change in the law so that such crimes are never statute-barred under any circumstances, the post states.
