More Canadians think things are better in the United States than in Canada.
Canadians are more likely than Canada to think America is moving in the "right direction," according to a new survey by Abacus Data. The same survey shows that
Donald Trump has more support among Canadians than Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"Today, 24 percent of Canadians approve of the work of the federal government (a decrease of 1 percent), while disapproval remains unchanged at 61 percent," reads the report, the V4na.com news agency drew attention based on The Post Millennial news portal .
Abacus Data also tracks Canadians' opinion of Donald Trump. According to their surveys, the number of Canadians who have a good impression of Donald Trump is constantly increasing.
The percentage of those who have a positive opinion of the next president of the United States rose by 6 percent to 26 percent in two weeks, which is the highest value since September.
Meanwhile, the proportion of those with a negative opinion decreased by 7 percent. However, they note that despite being slightly more popular than Trudeau, Trump is still unpopular in Canada.
Abacus writes: “We saw no change in how people felt about the Prime Minister or the government's performance. The mood in the country has deteriorated slightly – to the lowest level we've ever measured – and now more Canadians think the United States is moving in the right direction (23%) than Canada (22%)”.
