The US president-elect made it clear that his most important foreign policy goal will be ending the war, which he also communicated to French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Paris last weekend. By the way, Trump's arrival at the Élysée Palace was symbolic, because when he shook hands with the French president, he spectacularly raised his arm so that his palm was on top, thus showing that he is the boss, he dictates.
At this point, it is worth talking about Donald Trump's expected foreign policy.
The expectation is clearly that he will pay much less attention to Europe, and America will focus much more on the Asian region, while he expects the Europeans to take on a significantly greater role in NATO.
Europe would therefore need independence, as Viktor Orbán puts it: Europe must figure out what its role will be in the period after the end of the war. This formulation of a European position is made more difficult by the fact that there is a political and economic crisis in both Germany and France, and that the leading countries of Europe are busy with their own domestic political difficulties.
It is not surprising that US President-elect Donald Trump met Viktor Orbán before most European leaders, including Ursula von der Leyen.
Let's look at the numbers, how is Europe currently doing! Unfortunately, it is not independent at all. In the American Conservative magazine, several data were collected, which is a good example of how much trouble the continent is in. It depends, for example, on defense policy: in addition to the need to protect the Americans in NATO, dependence on American arms manufacturers has also increased significantly: while between 2014 and 2018, American arms purchases accounted for 35 percent of the European market, between 2019 and 2023 it will already be 55 percent . But what is even more telling is that, while at the Lisbon summit in 2000 the EU leaders set themselves the goal that by 2010 the EU's economy would surpass the American one, in reality there was a total decline: calculated in dollars, the economy expanded by approximately six percent eurozone economy in the last 15 years, while the American one by 82 percent.
Thanks to this, the EU would be the third poorest American state today.
It is also an interesting and telling figure that the EU market represents only seven percent of the income of the American Apple. And speaking of Apple, it also says a lot that their artificial intelligence developments have not yet been introduced to the EU market, since the European economy is so overregulated. Because of this, high-tech companies are fleeing Europe, innovation has almost completely disappeared, and new patents appear in America and China. And then we didn't even talk about the unsustainable pension system and aging society.
As president of the EU, Viktor Orbán drew attention to these problems countless times, which is why the competitiveness pact was adopted in Budapest. It is also an important aspect for Viktor Orbán that, since Europe is suffering from a leadership crisis and Donald Trump does not seem to want to deal with the continent as a priority, thanks to their good personal relationship, he can gain many advantages for Hungary in bilateral meetings.
A good example of this was the current meeting in Florida, in which, in addition to Donald Trump, Elon Musk also participated.
Elon Musk is the richest man in the world, he owns countless companies that represent high technology.
The fact that a personal relationship has developed with him means investments for Hungary and opportunities for Hungarian companies. And this is just the beginning, countless American investments may come to Hungary. The Hungarian prime minister began to transform good political relations into economic relations.
If Europe refuses to come to its senses, Viktor Orbán will not sit idly by, he will try to seize as many opportunities as possible for Hungary.
Ending the war is essential for economic growth and the economy. Naturally, the issue of the ceasefire and peace negotiations was also discussed at the meeting with Donald Trump, and Viktor Orbán also embarked on another peace mission. He first negotiated with Pope Francis, then with Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and the Turkish president.
During the current negotiations, the question is no longer whether there will be a cease-fire, the necessity of this has already been realized by most people, the question now is the conditions under which all this should take place and in what form the peace negotiations should begin.
Ukrainian President Zelensky is no longer talking about the need to continue the war until all the occupied territories are regained, and Putin also made a spectacular gesture in Trump's direction when he called him intelligent and invited him to Moscow for negotiations. These processes clearly justify Viktor Orbán, who stuck to his pro-peace stance despite all kinds of globalist pressure.
Despite the many positive developments and despite the strengthening of the sovereignist, pro-peace political forces, the globalists do not give up easily.
The latest discovery of globalist political circles, Péter Magyar, tried several fake news this week, which may seem funny at first, but at the same time it is extremely dangerous and even poses a national security risk. Disinformation and the production of fake news are well-known tools of destabilization, with which they try to weaken the positions of the patriotic Hungarian government.
Last weekend's fake news production is a textbook example.
The propaganda newspaper Magyar Hang, which supports Péter Magyar, published the news on Sunday morning that a Syrian plane had landed in Ferihegy, suggesting that the fallen Syrian dictator had fled to Budapest. They even showed a photo with which they wanted to support all this. In comparison, the photo was taken in Turkey in 2012, after Turkish fighter jets forced a Syrian plane to land. Péter Magyar treated the fake news as fact on his social media page and has not deleted it to this day. This fake news poses a national security risk, so the necessary investigations have begun.

In comparison, it seems like a small matter that Péter Magyar also spread the fake news that children fought in a school because of Tamás Menczer, and that a Hír TV reporter pushed a lady, while in reality his bodyguards pushed the reporter to a lady.

In the whole, the behavior of the left-liberal press is the most suggestive: while if Viktor Orbán gets a year wrong in one of his speeches, they correct it in long fact-checking articles, but they don't say a single word about Péter Magyar.
This clearly shows that these media products are not independent, as they claim to be, but are part of Péter Magyar's fan base and belong to the same globalist political and economic circle.
In summary: Hungary's foreign policy positions have improved significantly, Viktor Orbán seems to be right about the war, but at the same time the pro-war globalist circles are not giving up the fight, they are already trying to weaken the freedom of movement of the patriotic Hungarian government by spreading fake news in Hungary. Péter Magyar is their current puppet, with whom they want to run in the 2026 election. The patriot side, led by Viktor Orbán, will stand up against them.
