The number of returned national consultation questionnaires has exceeded one million, and this is not just a number, this is a clear message: the Hungarian people are ready to jointly decide on the future of the country, said the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office on Saturday in a video message shared on the government's Facebook page.
Balázs Hidvéghi said: "now we are asking you about the new economic policy and measures to improve people's lives".
"According to the government's point of view, Hungary can only be successful if we say no to Brussels' misguided policy. We reject not only traditional war, but also the economic cold war," he said, adding that Hungary needs neutrality in the economy.
He continued by saying that we must remain open to both the West and the East, because this is in Hungary's interest.
This is how we can achieve stable economic growth, this is how we can increase wages, help young people, families and pensioners, this is how we can support Hungarian businesses, he emphasized.
Balázs Hidvéghi thanked the more than one million people who had already filled out the consultation form for their opinion, and asked those who had not yet filled out the document to join, fill it out either on paper or online, and return the questionnaire.
He informed that the preliminary results of the consultation will be announced in the coming days.
"If we decide together, we will be stronger. Hungary can do it," the state secretary concluded the video.
