The old and new people of Brussels, who vote for the migration measures in the European Parliament, would abolish Hungarian family benefits with the stroke of a pen.
The government will double the family tax allowance in two steps, the Minister of Culture and Innovation announced in a video message shared on the government's Facebook page.
Balázs Hankó said in the video: with the family tax discount, they help all those who have children and work at the same time.
He explained that the family tax allowance will be doubled in two steps: from 1 July 2025, from 10 to 15 thousand HUF for those raising one child, from 40 to 60 thousand HUF for two children, and from 99 thousand HUF to 148.5 thousand for three children the monthly family tax allowance will increase to HUF.
The minister added: on January 1, 2026, the family tax benefits will be doubled compared to the current level, i.e. the valid monthly family tax benefits will increase from HUF 10 to HUF 20,000, from HUF 40 to HUF 80,000, and from HUF 99,000 to HUF 198,000.
But while we are on the side of the families, as long as we consider the safety and financial security of the families to be the most important, Brussels and the domestic left-liberals are working on how to increase migration instead of family support, Balázs Hankó stated.
He added that they have no doubt that the old and new people of Brussels, who vote for the migration measures in the European Parliament, would abolish Hungarian family benefits with the stroke of a pen.
