The rural home renovation program is starting, the communications director of Fidesz-KDNP announced on his Facebook page.
Tamás Menczer reminded that families with children living in settlements with less than 5,000 people can claim up to HUF three million in support to renovate their homes.
Within the framework of the program, discounted loans of up to HUF 6 million are also available, he added.
According to the announcement of the Hungarian State Treasury, the benefit helps families living in smaller settlements to improve housing conditions, including renovating interiors, modernizing heating, replacing roofs, installing and replacing air conditioning, solar collectors and solar panels, barrier-free access, building electrical systems and the environment around the house.
The support can cover no more than half of the costs, and can be used for invoices and business contracts after the first of January within 60 days after the completion of the renovations on the apartment and the payment of the last invoice.
