Pork belly from Hollókő palác

2024.10.26.

The purpose of the program is to show the Palóc culture and the traditions of Palóc life, the tricks of pig slaughtering, which was once common in almost every house. The prepared dishes offer an insight into a Palác flavor world that is hard to come by these days.

A priority is the cultural values, cultural and gastronomic traditions of Palóc, especially folk dances, folk songs and folk costumes; as well as introducing the special pork belly dishes as widely as possible.

The teams prepare pork belly dishes in "courtyards" designed according to their own Palóc villages, which can be tasted for a tasting ticket:

in the morning - onion blood
at lunchtime - tori cabbage and steak
from the afternoon - tori soup, hurka - sausage and other delicacies (abal bacon, crackling, etc.)
