Marco Rossi has announced the squad of the Hungarian national football team preparing for the World Cup qualifiers.
There were 13 NB I players in the 26-man squad. According to the national team captain, the players in the domestic league are in good shape and have enough playing time in their legs.
The two newcomers to the national team from the NB I club, the Puskás Academy, will arrive in Telki at the beginning of next week. In addition to the goalkeeper Balázs Tóth, Marco Rossi voted his confidence in Krisztián Géresi, who is playing regularly again after a long injury and recovery.
All that is known about the condition of the national team captain Dominik Szoboszlai is that he is rehabilitating, perhaps more will be revealed in the coming weeks. Three of the current squad can play in his position, in addition to Zsolt Kalmár, László Kleinheisler and Dániel Gazdag. Marco Rossi noted that it will not be easy to replace the RB Leipzig midfielder.
Rossi said that although we are not the favorites against the Poles, he is not satisfied with a draw, he will definitely prepare the team to win the match.
The members of the national team playing at home will meet in Telki on Thursday, March 18, and the foreign legionnaires will arrive at the national team's headquarters after their weekend league matches. After their first World Cup qualifier against Poland, the team will travel to San Marino on the 27th, and then to Andorra the day after the match there.
