Since autumn, the government will extend to students and teachers of primary public education institutions as well, the Parliamentary and Strategic State Secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) told MTI on Saturday.
In the announcement, Tamás Schanda wrote, "the government supports Hungarian families with all possible means so that the epidemic situation causes them as little burden as possible" . Those entitled to the service, i.e. teachers, students or their parents with a subscription, could indicate their need for the free option to the service providers.
In order to ease the burden on families, fixed internet access was made free of charge for students and teachers of primary public education institutions by March. The former discount for those participating in secondary public education and vocational training has been extended by another 30 days, the state secretary announced.
