Thanks to the cooperation of several Christian organizations, the Bible for 2019, a publication specifically aimed at young readers, and an online interface related to it, have been published. The unusual interactive edition was created as a result of an English development, using the results of a survey conducted among more than a thousand young people.
The publication, published with the text of the Hungarian Bible Society's new translation, contains creative design elements, short thematic summaries, QR codes, video links, downloadable pictograms, reading plans adapted to a specific level of preparation, and a number of online and offline aids that aid understanding and deepening.
In addition, it contains introductions that are adapted to a specific level of interpretation and help understanding, Bible reading plans, questions, timelines that help place the book in a given age, and important information about topics that are more difficult to understand. The volume, which also has creative surfaces suitable for note-taking and drawing, also contains hundreds of interactive, thought-provoking tasks that can be used to put what you have read into practice.
"In the Bible, there are four gospels with different approaches for four "target groups" about the life of Jesus Christ, so let's not be surprised that two thousand years later it is even more necessary to be able to bring the message of the Scriptures closer to young people active on completely different platforms in a unique and specific approach." - said Dr. regarding the publication of the volume and the significance of the collaboration. Kornél Herjeczki, director of Harmat Kiadó.
Thanks to the new approach to Bible reading and the connection of the printed form to the online interface, the volume can play an important role in the spread of the Gospel among young people throughout the Carpathian Basin , in the new type of youth Bible education. The online interface is available here.
