Organizing a world event is a good thing, because it draws attention to Hungary and the tourists who visit here bring a lot of income, not to mention television royalties. Formula 1 has already proven this, and even that the more times the event is repeated, the more economical it becomes. Now the same can be expected from the brand new MotoGP track, which is being built in Eastern Hungary, near Hajdúnánás .
According to GPhírek, the budget for track construction is expected to remain within HUF 60 billion, but through the MotoGP grand prix, annual indirect income of HUF 18-25 billion can be counted on. This means that the construction can pay for itself in 4-5 years and after that it will only generate a profit , even if there will always be - in comparison - smaller additional costs.
It is also a non-negligible aspect that the eastern region will also develop thanks to it and will be more attractive even for investors. For now, all we know about it is that it will be built on 500 hectares next to the M3 motorway , the main building will have two floors, the first floor will house the press room (approx. 3-4000 square meters) and the spaces for VIP guests (5-6000 square meters), here there will be operational areas, event organization and multifunctional spaces.
The route of the track promises to be faster than the Hungaroring, and this is supported by the tender. The track will be 4.4 kilometers long, consisting of 16 corners and a roughly one kilometer long straight.
Until now, we could only see the land where the investment was located on the Internet. However, the first renderings have now appeared on a world architecture website. The tender was won by the Hungarian BORD Architectural Studio, the same one that also designed the Aquaticum water park in Debrecen. You can see even more visual plans at this link.
