Even on Easter, the rules for the protection against the coronavirus epidemic must be strictly observed - the chief infectious disease doctor of the Dél-Pest Centrumhospital announced on Monday to Kossuth radio Good morning, Hungary! in his show.

János Szlávik emphasized that the vaccination does not mean complete protection, it only prevents the serious course of the disease, therefore it is not allowed to celebrate Easter together even if some relatives are vaccinated.

In a few weeks, with the increase in vaccinations, it is expected that it will be possible to breathe, until then "everyone should hold out a little longer", he said.

He also talked about: at the beginning of the epidemic, they thought that the virus was not dangerous for expectant mothers, but now they know that it is also dangerous for mothers during pregnancy, since many of them were hospitalized and put on ventilators. Vaccination is therefore already available to expectant mothers in Hungary, they are vaccinated with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, said János Szlávik.
