Lara Trump's interview with her father-in-law, former US President Donald Trump, which was first published on the "Right-Wing Point of View with Lara Trump" website, was removed from Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday.
Lara Trump, who is also the host of the American news channel Fox News, shared a screenshot of the email she received from Facebook employees.
We want to let you know that the post in which President Trump is speaking has been removed from Lara Trump's Facebook page.
says the email.
In the justification they say:
Similar to the content posted on Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts, we will also remove posts in which the voice of the former president can be heard, and the owner of the account may face additional restrictions.
Eric Trump — the former president's son and Lara Trump's husband — also posted a copy of an email he received from a Facebook employee warning that their deletion instructions apply to all user accounts and pages associated with the campaign.
This is terrible! What will our country become?
Eric Trump wrote on Instagram.
After the events at the Capitol in January, the largest social networking sites and Internet video sharing portals decided one after the other to ban the former president from using their accounts. Their decisions were mostly explained by the fact that they believed that the riots were caused by Donald Trump's inflammatory speech and messages published on his social media platforms.
In the interview on Tuesday, the former president expressed sharp criticism of the companies that operate social media and certain media products. Trump pointed out that during his re-election campaign, these bodies deliberately concealed information about the business affairs of Hunter Biden, the son of the current president, Joe Biden. For example, they were not allowed to share the investigative report published in the New York Post about emails found on Hunter Biden's computer that were seen as compromising him.
When these were not presented, or were cut, or deleted during the campaign, we can safely call it a culture of deletion , right?
Trump said.
The ex-president's former senior campaign adviser announced on Saturday that Donald Trump will launch his own social media site in three to four months. Corey Lewandowski described the new platform as an "interactive communication tool" through which people will be able to communicate directly with the former president.
What we've experienced from tech giants is that if you don't agree with their philosophy, they delete you. We will have a platform where people can communicate freely without fear of reprisal or deletion
- said the former consultant.
