Diósgyőr castle was rebuilt to a height of two levels, three towers were reborn, and the largest knight's hall in Central Europe, the castle chapel and the queens' living room were also restored in the palace wing.
As part of the currently ongoing 2nd phase, the entire reconstruction of the inner castle and towers will take place, the western bridge will be rebuilt, and the castle terrace and rock garden will be completed. The outer castle wall can be walked around on a visitor walkway, the castle's gate bastions will be constructed, and the medieval kitchen will be rebuilt. In the next, third phase, the moat around the castle will be reborn.
The total budget of the project is HUF 17 billion, of which HUF 15.5 billion is financed by the Hungarian government and 1.5 billion by the municipality of Miskolc. There is no EU money in the financing of the project, it is entirely nationally financed.
