Gergely Gulyás held the usual government briefing this morning about the new measures and the government's decisions on Wednesday. All measures related to the restart depend on the number of people vaccinated - the minister began the press conference, presenting the vaccination data. In recent years, there have been few more scandals than the opposition parties' campaign against Eastern vaccines - said the minister and asked them to encourage vaccination as soon as possible!

We tried to reduce the crowd at the vaccination sites with new rules - said the minister about the new measures, according to whom there will be at least as many strict measures as relaxed ones. He said about the further course of vaccination: the number of registered people is approaching 4 million, and this does not include health workers who were vaccinated without registration.

Hungary is one of the fastest vaccinating countries in Europe. Gulyás is confident that the number of vaccinated people will approach four million this month. The minister thanked everyone who participates in the protection and administration of vaccinations.

Regarding the vaccination of teachers, he said that 34,000 teachers had previously been vaccinated, and 66,000 had been vaccinated so far in the vaccination campaign specifically for teachers. Gergely Gulyás also spoke about the importance of returning to the usual order of education on April 19, and that parents should also be taken into account.

Educational tasks are most effective only with personal presence, he added.

The minister stated: the next steps of the restart will be decided when three million people have been vaccinated, which is possible within 5-6 days. 86-87 percent of those registered over the age of 65 have already been vaccinated, said the minister. The current registration needs can be met this month, he added. Eastern vaccines also play a big role in all of this, said Gulyás. In terms of protection, there is no difference between a single vaccine. Regarding AstraZeneca, the minister said that it is also reliable according to the EU Medicines Agency. The effectiveness of these vaccinations is significant, all vaccinations are significantly safer than no vaccination, the minister pointed out.

According to Alexandra Szentkirályi, the latest project of the Hungarian Village Program, which helps micro-enterprises in small settlements, will start in the spring. The amount of the non-refundable support will be between HUF 2 and 10 million, which can be spent on investments, wages, machines, workshops and training. The condition of the application is that the business must have at least one closed business year.

The goal is to help village businesses retain jobs.
