This year, a seed collection was organized for the third time in support of Transcarpathian farmers in difficult situations, as well as church institutions and congregations, Transcarpathia reported today.
In the action created in cooperation with the Hajdú-Bihar County Organization of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy and the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service, more than 5 tons of seed were donated by members of the NAK Hajdú-Bihar County Organization, farmers, and representatives of agricultural enterprises. The total value of the seed donations is about HUF 5 million. In addition, they also supported the Transcarpathian farmers with a financial contribution worth more than HUF 1.3 million, so a total of nearly 100 donors supported the program in the amount of HUF 6.3 million.
The donations were collected at the logistics center of the Hungarian Reformed Charity. The delivery and delivery of the seeds will begin in the following days.
