Is this the president of the most powerful country on earth? And would he have won with an overwhelming majority?
The first press conference of the President of the United States of America was finally held on March 25, 2021, quietly and without much fanfare. A hundred years ago, it was not necessary to wait so long for the newly installed president to give media members the opportunity to ask him questions.
If someone missed it, they could find out exactly how the event took place from the report of the "independently objective" media (take, for example, the of telex.hu ).
To summarize the main point: nothing extraordinary happened, among other things the speed of vaccination, the economy and immigration were discussed. And the biggest news was that Biden is considering running again in the 2024 presidential election.
However, what happened in reality that the telex non-propagandists "forgot" to report?
First of all: representatives of the conservative media (Fox news and Newsmax) were not allowed to ask the president questions. This somehow did not reach the threshold of irritation of the Telex journalist, even though the domestic "independent" press is vocal about nothing else than that there is no freedom of the press, because they think Viktor Orbán is not willing to speak to the opposition media in the right way.
It seems that if the president of the "free world" bans journalists who are critical of him from the public press conference, it has no news value, in such cases there is no need to worry about the freedom of the press and to fear an oppressive dictatorship.
But this is just the beginning, let's keep going!
At the beginning of the press conference, Biden gave a short report on the topics he thought were worth mentioning (vaccination, the economy), and then gave the floor to the journalists. This took place in such a way that Biden read out from a colorful brochure with photographs, who from the appropriately assembled small team, and in what order, he could ask him a question.
In the beginning, the answers were quite good, but as time progressed, they became more and more rambling, and after barely half an hour, it often happened that Biden was reading the answers from his notes. Let's stop for a moment! What?!
At the first press conference of the President of the USA (in the center of the free world), does Joe Biden read from a brochure who can ask the questions in which order, and then take out his notes and read the answers? How is it possible? Isn't it just that he knew in advance the questions he was going to be asked?
According to them, and the best part of it all, it seems that his dementia is so advanced that he cannot remember not only the answers, but also who asks the questions in which order.
And the entire "independent" media in the United States assists in all of this (compared to this, the "descriptive" report of the "independently objective" propagandists of our small country is really nothing). But even that wasn't enough, the pre-written questions were so tough that we could learn from them that Biden is such a moral and honest person that the increasingly escalating refugee crisis on the southern border of the USA only developed because of his goodness. Because many ill-fated, illegal immigrants want to entrust their minor children to the care of this great grandfather. Fortunately, we were able to learn from the Telex journalist that Biden rejected these "accusations" and that, according to him, tens of thousands of immigrants (actually, it is more like hundreds of thousands) arrive at the southern border of the USA because he is such a "good guy".
In Hungary, members of the progressive media constantly attack Viktor Orbán and representatives of the media who are not hostile to him, saying that they act as microphone stands and do not ask the prime minister hard questions. Compared to this, when in America, in the framework of a play disguised as a press conference, the president of the USA reads out pre-written answers to pre-written questions, it is not even considered worthy of mention...
The question may arise, why was all this necessary? Presumably because Biden, due to his old age, has already reached such a stage of mental degradation that he is unable to provide a reliable performance on his own, that is why this charade was inevitable. It also happened now (which has happened on other occasions before) that when he was not reading his speech from paper, he got mixed up in what he was saying and failed to put a sentence together in a meaningful way. You have to be careful not to confuse your granddaughter with your dead son, or to make another mistake like when you didn't know who the president of the USA was, who you were running against in the presidential election.
Thus, the picture begins to come together, why it took a record time to organize the first press conference, and why it was not possible to let in anyone but representatives of the friendly media. It's no coincidence that the performance was scheduled for the early afternoon, because the working American average couldn't see it live, they could only watch the version nicely edited by the media agencies on the evening news.
However, the local stalwarts of the journalism profession did not consider these oddities worth mentioning, instead, according to them, the biggest news value was that Biden wants to run in the elections in 2024. Which, from their point of view, may really be the most serious challenge. It will be no small feat for them to maintain for years to come the appearance that they are objectively informing their readers about world events.
