197 people died, most of them elderly, chronically ill, and another 2,680 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Monday, highlighting that 3,266,425 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 1,391,381 have already received the second they also received a dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 753,188. The number of those who died rose to 25,381, and those who recovered rose to 458,212.
The number of actively infected people is 269,595. 8,650 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, of which 1,052 are on ventilators.
There are 45,132 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples has increased to 5,144,130.
It was announced: the peak of the third wave of the epidemic can be felt, but the British virus mutant continues to infect thousands, so compliance with protective measures is still important. Every third Hungarian person has already been vaccinated. Now the phone calling for vaccination can ring for any registered person, they emphasized.
