The government finalized the decrees containing the new rules, which will come into force after the number of people vaccinated against the coronavirus reaches four million.

The Hungarian vaccination program is also highly successful in European comparison. "This allows us to take new steps to restart everyday life and the economy," writes kormany.hu. When the number of vaccinated people reaches 4 million, new measures come into effect, a significant part of which is tied to protection - a protection card.

The Hungarian people decided on the use of the protection card during the online consultation on the restart: 65 percent of those who completed it supported that the protected be exempted from certain restrictions. According to the new rules, the start of the curfew will be changed from 11 pm to midnight. You can shop in the shops until 11 pm. Those who have a protection card can stay inside restaurants and hotels until 11:00 p.m., and can take their children with them to these places.

Leisure facilities closed in November can be visited again with a protection card. These include, for example, zoos, wildlife parks, museums, theaters, cinemas and libraries. From now on, only protected persons and those under the age of 18 who participate in competitive sports can go to the gym, swimming pool, and ice rink.

Protected persons and minors under their supervision can also visit sports events until 11 p.m. Protected persons and minors under their supervision do not have to wear masks at sports and cultural events.

Proof of protection against the coronavirus is done by presenting the proof of protection, and checking the fact of protection is the responsibility of the operator of the premises, the provider of the service. If the operator or service provider does not comply with this, they may be fined between HUF 100,000 and HUF 1 million, or even closed for one year.

Since the epidemic is still present, certain safety measures must be maintained even with a gradual restart. Thus, in some locations, workers who have not acquired protection must still wear a mask, and the restrictions imposed in November regarding private and family events will remain in place.

The use of masks is still mandatory in public areas, on public transport, in shops - in places where only those who have been vaccinated or who have been infected can stay - and groupings and gatherings must also be avoided - they wrote, emphasizing: this serves to protect citizens who have not yet been vaccinated .

As the vaccination program progresses, further decisions will be made to restart life. The government expressed its gratitude to everyone who participates in the vaccination program and adheres to the protection rules in the cooperation against the epidemic.
