This Scheppel has some strange ideas. Kim Lane Scheppele, a long-time critic of the Hungarian government, explained on Klub-radio that he has a strange premonition that Orbán may decide to lose the elections! Well, look!
"I start from what I can deduce from the legislation, and the law is in Orbán's DNA. Orbán may decide to lose the elections," he declared. According to the American constitutional lawyer, Viktor Orbán entrenched himself in power for years, and this is what the change in the university model serves."
Unfortunately, this nonsense is heard more and more often, even from the Prime Minister's own camp, as if Orbán is playing to lose the elections! Let's see how this American woman justifies this feeling, here:
“Just think of the Putin-Medvedev line-up. If he returns in four years, he could be a credible politician again. He built his offices for 10 years, planting his own people in them, in the next four years none of them would bite into him. The money would flow in nicely from the foundations, and you wouldn't have any problems making a living. What's more, apart from the expected EU aid, he already has so much money under his control that he doesn't really need it," the legal scholar outlines his theory.
In other words, Orbán already has plenty of money, he doesn't necessarily need power. It is amazing that some people can only think in relation to power, money and influence. They play chess on the political fields as if a power structure depends only on the interweaving of interests and has no other purpose than the maintenance of this hegemony.
The left also makes the mistake of having only one common denominator: the replacement of Orbán.
It doesn't matter that even their own "values" have to be thrown into the dust because of this, be it the national policy of Jobbik, which has turned into a glass pearl, or the green policy of the LMP, the radicalism of the liberal youth, or even the fraudulent people's party of the MSZP!
However, Apró-Dobrev-Gyurcsány's puppeteers and their directors forget one thing.
That in a democracy power comes from the people.
The source is the will of the people. Thus, the idea that Orbán wants to get out because he already has enough money is completely wrong and baseless.
Because the people not only give rights, but also impose duties on their representatives along a set of values. And these should not be abused. Just as the Gyurcsánys - thinking that people are just puppets - seriously abused their power during their reign. They stole, cheated, lied and those who didn't like them were well beaten. After all, our father Kádár also beat the country all the way, they thought after 56 (even today!), this is how it should be done!
"I'm surprised why Orbán is still popular?! People feel on their own skin what he did during the epidemic, but if there was no dissatisfaction even during the worst period of the epidemic, there will hardly be any next year. I'm afraid that since the competition is still close, next year, when life is restored, the dice will turn in Orbán's favor," said the American, adding that "it should appear that people are punishing Orbán for handling the pandemic."
Well, even though Scheppele wonders in vain, they are not punished because they see the continuous efforts to save them from the consequences of the epidemic, they provide money and support to families, a lot of services are available for free, they work to keep jobs, cheap they give loans to businesses, they take care of medical equipment, hospital beds, vaccine kits and I could go on and on.
They did their duty! Well, that's why they've been in government for 11 years now (by two-thirds) and when the people decide again next year, take into account the interests of the elites
Kim Lane Scheppele admitted that this idea may seem crazy, but as a constitutional lawyer, he sees that the prime minister's "life is covered".
The American's premonitions are not very good, he is not very familiar with the Christian Hungarian spirit. I understand that even with this stupidity it is worth trying to weaken Orbán's camp, and sow the seeds of doubt in his own.
But those who let their voters down will never get to the top! But you're going to ruin yourself! See Ferenc Gyucsány.
