We also mentioned in our article published under the title - Gendered after shave women - that the opposition press apostrophes the adoption of the declaration as a victory, highlighting: - the word gender remained.

Well, Magyar Nemzet reported that, following the HVG, the left-liberal press picked up the news today that "Orbán failed to extract the term referring to gender equality from the Porto declaration". The final document was recently published on the website of the European Council, but it does not include the term "gender equality" objected to by the Hungarian and Polish governments. they work for fair and equal treatment .

In the meantime, Magyar Nemzet learned that the document cited by the HVG was not the text of the Porto declaration accepted by EU leaders, but the document called the "Porto social commitment" of the social partner organizations also at the EU summit.

The left-liberal newspaper therefore mixed up two documents and wrongly quoted the Porto declaration.

By the way, in the text of the heads of state and government of the EU, i.e. the European Council, the ideologized word "gender" appears once, namely in the section on the "gender pay gap", i.e. overcoming the gender pay gap. A government source pointed out to the newspaper: our country did not even object to this, since there is no other suitable term for this in the English language.
