71 people, most of them elderly, chronic patients, died, and another 1,190 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Friday, highlighting that 4,483,598 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 2,626,857 have already received the second they also received a dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 796,390. The number of those who died rose to 29,041, and those who recovered rose to 608,891.
The number of active infected people is 158,458. 2,612 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, 338 of them are on ventilators.
There are 18,448 people under official home quarantine, the number of samples taken has increased to 5,607,336.
They pointed out that more than 5 million people have already registered for vaccination, and 80 percent of them have received the vaccine.
Vaccination of 16-18-year-olds who have already registered and booked an appointment continues at 101 hospital vaccination points.
