Today is the International Day of the Family, which has been celebrated every year on May 15 since 1994 based on the UN resolution. This day was created with the aim of drawing attention to the importance of the family, which is one of the pillars of society.
This year is different in that Pope Francis announced the year of families on March 19, St. Joseph's Day. Nowadays, the family takes on an important importance, because due to the increasingly spreading liberal, gender perspective, fathers and mothers have a special role in shaping children's attitudes and behavior.
Pope Francis said:
"man and woman, father and mother are co-workers of the love of the creator God".
It is not by chance that it is considered to be the cornerstone of the traditional family, Christian life and culture, which has been a sure point in societies for more than two thousand years. Joseph, Mary and Jesus, the Holy Family, created the basic values of life. The more families that live in this spirit - by setting good examples to follow - they ensure not only their own future, but also the future of society and Christianity.
