As of today, the conditions for entering Austria have changed, i.e. from many EU member states, so citizens coming from Hungary no longer have to count on the obligation to quarantine.
The Austrian Minister of Health announced yesterday that after the number of daily infections has decreased in many states, entry into the country will be made easier in parallel with Austria's opening steps.
He emphasized that upon entry, those who have been infected in the last six months can prove this with an antigen test no older than three months or with their notification of quarantine. The vaccination certificate is valid from the 22nd day after the first vaccination, for a maximum of three months. After obtaining the full vaccination, the vaccination certificate is valid for a total of nine months from the first vaccination. The presence of any of these permits entry and the free use of the services of catering units.
The Austrian health minister also said that any vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) will be accepted for entry.
So even those vaccinated with the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine can travel freely to Austria.
At the same time, those vaccinated with the Russian vaccine still need to show a negative test , but probably not for long, because the EMA will soon make a decision on the European Union approval of the Russian vaccine.
