Cziráky Margit Rózsaker's renovated Rózsaháza of the Esterházy Castle in Fertőd was handed over yesterday. The Rózsaház, created from the former chief gardener's residence, will be the reception building of the rose garden, but it is also suitable for holding exhibitions, civil wedding ceremonies, and events. The Rózsaház and the Cziráky Margit Rózsakert can be visited from today.

The construction of the Rózsaház and the landscaping and environmental beautification works around the building cost a total of HUF 106,821,122, for which the VELUX Foundations provided 1,883,488 Danish crowns, i.e. HUF 80,286,015, and the Hungarian Government provided HUF 26,535,107. The entire structure and environment of the 140-square-meter building has been renewed, so it fits harmoniously into the park and landscape of the Esterházy Castle, and at the same time, it is 21st century. the Rózsaház offers century-old comfort.

In his welcome, Attila Barcza, member of parliament for Sopron and its region, said, among other things, that the Hungarian Government is in the process of multibillion-dollar development. During the epidemic, there was continuous work on the heritage sites of the Eszterháza Center in the field of development, which also helps the successful restart of the economy.

"In recent years, we have managed to make Fertőd Castle come to mind when everyone hears the name Eszterházy. Now the Rose Garden was awarded to the worthy, XXI. meeting the needs of the 20th century and fitting into the environment, which is also excellent as an event venue," said Katalin Egresitsné Firtl, managing director of the Eszterháza Cultural, Research and Festival Center Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft., in her welcome speech. At the same time, he thanked the VELUX Foundations and the Hungarian Government for their support and the cooperation of all those whose work made the development possible, which once again says: Eszterháza is an inexhaustible source of miracles!

The Rózsaháza and its renewed surroundings were blessed by titular canon Lajos Turner, parish priest of the Szent András church in Fertőd.
