According to the latest data, 269 new infections were registered, increasing the total number of identified infections to 805,571 since the beginning of the epidemic. 26 people died, most of them old, chronic patients, so the number of those who died rose to 29,818.
702 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospitals, 78 of them are on ventilators. Vaccination is ongoing, the number of vaccinated is 5,238,903, of which 3,814,194 have already received their second vaccination. Hungary remains second in the EU vaccination rankings. 54% of the Hungarian population has already received the vaccine, compared to the EU average of 39%.
