Although there are minor differences between the vaccines against the coronavirus, all vaccines are safe, so the government asks everyone to register and get vaccinated, said Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, at the government briefing.

He emphasized that after 54 percent of the Hungarian population had been vaccinated, the country is close to social immunity. The digital version of the Hungarian ID card proving protection against the coronavirus will comply with the rules of the European Union's similar document until June 15. The minister stated: the Hungarian protection card provides the greatest freedom in Europe, as it is accepted by 11 countries, and Romania classified Hungary in the "green zone" without entry restrictions.

From the extremely low infection data, it is clear that the third wave of the coronavirus epidemic has been definitively defeated, said Gergely Gulyás Gulyás of the Government Information Center, and he added: the rate of positive tests is only one percent in our country today, and there are favorable infection data close to last summer. The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office also announced that with regard to vaccinations, our country is doing significantly better than - with the exception of Malta - anyone in the European Union.
