54 percent of the Hungarian adult population is satisfied with the government health measures introduced during the coronavirus epidemic, according to the latest poll of the Center for Fundamental Rights.

Based on research conducted on a nationally representative sample of adult Hungarian society, it can be stated that more than five out of ten (54 percent) citizens of voting age are satisfied with the cabinet's handling of the health crisis. In contrast, only 43 percent of the respondents said that they were rather dissatisfied with the health policy decisions made during the coronavirus epidemic, which shows a significant difference of 11 percentage points in favor of those who are satisfied. The reason for this may be that the Hungarians do not judge the period left behind us on the basis of party politics: even 20 percent of respondents critical of the government were satisfied with the measures.

The fact that more people are satisfied with the government's health measures than those who are not is also due to the fact that the third wave of the coronavirus epidemic was stopped by the sufficiently rapid implementation of the Hungarian vaccination program, which would not have been possible without the acquisition of vaccines from the East. The vast majority of Hungarians, 74 percent, agree with the use of the Russian vaccine, which is often attacked by left-wing parties, and consider its use a good idea, while only 12 percent of those surveyed thought it was bad.

This data is also close to the research results of the Fundamental Rights Center in April, where 72 percent of the Hungarian adult population said that they were satisfied with the strategy that also focuses on the procurement of vaccines from the East.
