If this year's economic growth is over five and a half percent, then at the beginning of next year both adults in families raising children will receive back their personal income tax payment for the entire year of 2021, but a maximum of eight hundred thousand forints per person.

Márton Nagy , the prime minister's chief adviser, informed the Hungarian nation about what was said at the World Economy conference on Wednesday.

– We have protected the economy, and now it must be restarted. Supportive fiscal policy must be maintained for the rapid recovery of growth. The 2021 and 2022 budgets serve this purpose. So we don't have an election budget, but a restart budget, he explained. According to him , the growth could be over six percent this year. It is also important that the unemployment rate reaches the pre-crisis level of below three and a half percent , which means that at least 4.650 million people work in Hungary. This means the creation of 250,000 new jobs.

The chief adviser also spoke about the importance of supporting vulnerable social groups, the crisis affected everyone sensitively, but families, young people and pensioners were in a difficult situation the most.

- Some of the families replenished their reserves, parents had to stay at home due to the closure of kindergartens, nurseries and schools. Therefore, the Prime Minister proposed that if this year's economic growth is over five and a half percent, then at the beginning of next year both adults in families raising children will receive back their personal income tax payments for the entire year of 2021, but a maximum of eight hundred thousand forints per person.

All of this may affect 1.1 million families and one and a half million workers, he explained in detail. - From the beginning of next year, we provide personal income tax exemption for those under 25. This could affect three hundred thousand people. At the end of the year, the 2.4 million pensioners are still expected to receive the increase after higher inflation and the premium due to higher economic growth. The reconstruction of the 13th monthly pension will continue at the beginning of next year - Márton Nagy explained the steps.
