In the past few days and weeks, Budapest's traffic - let's not make it beautiful - has collapsed. It doesn't matter whether we leave the capital in the morning, during the day or in the evening, it is almost certain that we will end up in a traffic jam.
The reason for this is that the capital's left-wing leadership has launched several projects involving transport hubs at the same time without any concept.
1 The Budapest entrance section of the Lánchíd and the M3 motorway, as well as the renovation of Blaha Lujza tér, are running in parallel.
2 The Pest wharf was closed.
3 Due to the renovation of the M3 metro section, there are bus lanes everywhere.
4 The largely unused bike lanes remained, and they wanted more.
And who is trying to help the people of Budapest again?
Of course it's the evil government.
Government spokeswoman Alexandra Szentkirályi announced on her social media page that the government is starting a relief boat service in Budapest, thereby helping traffic in the capital, which is also more difficult due to the closure of the Chain Bridge.
Barely a few hours passed, and one of Gergely Karácsony's deputies, Kata Tüttő, appeared, who quickly jumped on a boat and quickly posted a photo of herself on her Instagram page.
There is nothing wrong with that, except that
Tüttő gave the impression that the Budapest municipality and the BKV had anything to do with it. The thing is, there isn't.
Furthermore, it was the Budapest municipality led by Karácsony that stopped the BKV ferry services, and the government restarted them.
