They are looking for applications from promising talents between the ages of 18 and 25 who do not yet have an independent volume of fiction, but who can already present written works that prove their talent, and who feel that the development of their creative career can be facilitated by the guidance and professional experience of the teachers of the Advanced Garrison Writing Academy, and their connection to a creative community. debt, professional, intellectual and financial support to overcome the difficulties of starting a career.
The duration of the writing academy training is 3 years.
KMTG will award the winners of the tender a study scholarship of HUF 100,000 (one hundred thousand) net per month for 1 year. If the student meets the professional expectations of the Writing Academy, KMTG will extend the contract for an additional 1 + 1 year.
KMTG also promotes the publication of the authors' worthy works, arranges writer-reader meetings, performance opportunities and media presence, as well as provides professional interest representation.
Based on the experience of previous years, it can be said that the training provided by the Writers' Academy lived up to expectations. A number of talented and dedicated career starters took advantage of the opportunities offered and presented their own books to the literature-loving, art-savvy audience.
20 volumes have already been published in the debut series called Enumeráció under the auspices of the Forward Garrison Writing Academy, and 10 more books will be published this year. Their young authors have so far won 3 Attila Gérecz prizes, 5 debut prizes of the Hungarian Writers' Association, 3 Khelidón prizes of the Hungarian PEN Club and the level prize of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, among many other prizes and scholarships.
