The "terror of opinion" has prevailed in Europe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade emphasized to MTI on Wednesday. Péter Szijjártó said: if someone refuses to accept the way of thinking imposed by the "liberal mainstream", but instead thinks and acts according to traditional values, he immediately "comes under incredible pressure".
"Politicians and media outlets of the liberal mainstream have started to unabashedly lie in connection with the law ensuring the protection of Hungarian children," added the minister, emphasizing that "not one of their words is true." On the other hand, Péter Szijjártó stated: "we will not back down, we will protect our children" .
Several EU member states have condemned Hungary for the new law, which, among other things, prohibits the "popularization" and representation of homosexuality and transgenderism for those under the age of 18, and also excludes these topics from sexual education in schools. Thirteen countries (Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Latvia) signed a joint statement condemning the recent legal changes as a violation of the right to freedom of expression and a "flagrant form of discrimination" based on sexual orientation.
We can add to this - with no little self-control - we condemn the statements of the mentally ill, the practitioners of opinion terror, the primitive, ignorant, but all the more unscrupulous liars. Anyone who doesn't even bother to read what he's commenting on can't be called honest, but rather a politicizing scoundrel.
Let's make it clear: the freedom of expression does not extend to harming children, and there is mainly no discrimination based on sex, because "traditional" pornography will also be prohibited for those under 18.
On the contrary, there is a blatant form: the blatant form of idiocy is displayed by those who attack us.
