In Kispest, which is full of scandals, the MSZP and the DK are straining against each other.
The socialist-led Kispest - where the legendary white dusty, money-grabbing video was shot - is divided into two parts from the point of view of the parliamentary election, one half, including the entire area of Pesterzsébet, belongs to the 16th individual electoral district (evk.), the other to the 9th, which they share with Kőbánya, where there were very messy cases - and there have been smaller ones ever since - we could assume that the MSZP will take a back seat in the primary election, giving the chance to the other parties, perhaps not yet so bogged down. But that's not the case. On the contrary.
In the 9th electoral district, the small-scale war between the parties has been going on for months. Sándor Burány wants to be a member of parliament again, so he starts the primary election, but here the MSZP did not agree with the DK, which otherwise intends to take over the entire left, which puts the increasingly active Gergely Arató in the line of battle. The party's education politician started his political career in socialist colors in Kőbánya, and took it up to the rank of state secretary in the Gyurcsány government.
The deputy mayor of Kispest (former DK), Csaba Kertész, does not belong to the mainstream of his former party. He initiated the rescue of Krisztián Kránitz, the former CEO of the trust, who was involved in corruption cases - who was a member of the Gajda-Lackner team, was called Mr. 40 percent in the ominous audio recording , and was also notorious for "forgetting" his villa in Spain from his asset declaration with the fact that after the liquidation of his company, he became the second person of the Economic Supply Organization, which operates as a holding company.
And Kránitz is Burány's man, so Kertész actually teamed up with DK's opponent, which is why he left the Gyurcsány party before he was presumably expelled. Kertész is an interesting figure in local public life, although it is not possible to know any specific incriminating information about him, but Lackner spoke in the ominous audio recording that he is also "hungry" and loves money, on the other hand, the white-dusted former MSZP representative knew intimately from him , private information about the Gyurcsány couple. Supposedly.
The momentary Kispest municipal representative Anikó Paróczai is also running in the primary election. He took part in the work of the investigative committee that was supposed to find out whether corruption cases had really taken place in the district. But this work came to a halt quite quickly, thanks to the coronavirus epidemic, but even more so to the fact that opposing socialist representatives and Mayor Péter Gajda blocked the operation of the board, and Paróczai, the councilor responsible for transparency, was not on top of the situation either. However, there was a defendant in the case, namely Anikó Paróczai, who was arrested on suspicion of defamation and misuse of personal data because she shot a video of Kránitz's villa in Spain in February 2020, but the case was not brought up by her, but by Magyar Nemzet and Hír Tv.
The police are investigating but are not saying anything
Thus, a big battle can be expected in this constituency between the old fighter Sándor Burány of the MSZP - who by the way joined the MSZMP at the age of 26, in 1982 -, his former party colleague Gergely Arató, who is now considered a strong man of the DK, and who intends to overcome the past momentary between Anikó Paróczai, who is trying to take action against the suspected cases of corruption of her allies, but her work seems like a windmill battle, and she is visibly getting tired of it.
We also contacted the police in the video criminal case. The Press Office of the ORFK Communication Service gave the answer that the National Investigation Office of the Emergency Police is conducting proceedings against an unknown culprit. However, due to the interests of the investigations, no further information on the procedures is given.
