The musical that is now being staged is very relevant, as our football team achieved excellent results in the EC matches in a heroic fight. At such times, the image of the Golden Team appears in every Hungarian heart for at least one beat.
Puskás, the musical at the Szeged Outdoor Games, is about friendship, patriotism, self-sacrifice, but also a bit of chivalry in a good sense. 22 actors, 60 dancers, 30 child actors, 20 songs, fireworks, artists and 120 square meters of LED wall, this is all and much more that summer theater lovers can see.
The world's most famous Hungarian, Ferenc Puskás, played for the Hungarian national team for the first time on August 20, 1945: he also scored his first national team goal in the Hungary-Austria match. On May 18, 1961, Puskás scored four goals in the Real Madrid-Eintracht Frankfurt match, in the European Champions Cup (ECC) final: since then, no one has scored so many goals in the history of the EC/BL finals!
The Puskás musical covers the story of the most famous Hungarian man - and one of the greatest football teams of all time, the Golden Team - and presents them with a worthy memory.
The play is entirely based on real events and faithfully depicts the era in which it takes place. The characters of the musical are people who once existed, everything they do in the play happened in reality.
The highly successful musical will be presented at the Szeged Outdoor Games on July 17 and July 18, both starting at 9 p.m., which will now be joined by a new actor: Károly Nemcsák will play the role of Mihály Farkas.
The performance will also have an open rehearsal on July 15, for which you can register for free at info@puskasmusical.hu, until midnight on July 11.
More information about the performances is available on the musical's website and social media pages .
