Anna Donáth, the EP representative of Momentum, claims that a misconduct procedure against Hungary, which was put into perspective because of the adopted anti-pedophile law, will take place extremely quickly.

As is well known, Ursula von der Leyen announced that infringement proceedings may be initiated against Hungary. The host of ATV asked Anna Donáth about this. The EP representative of Momentum knows that Judit Varga has already responded to the comments written by the European Commission. Regarding the answer, as if he was already aware of the verdict, he confidently stated that the choice of the Hungarian Minister of Justice would certainly not be satisfactory for the committee. All this without even reading the Minister of Justice's answer.

He added:

"I understand that this procedure will be carried out very quickly, since the European Commission will send this case to the European Court of Justice immediately after the answer. It will be completed within months, that's what I hear from the Commission's side".

Here, the host noted that these types of procedures usually last for years , so he asked Anna Donáth how she knew that the procedure would only take months. The MEP referred to informal information that he "hears this" in a case that has not yet been opened.

He also said that the consequence for Hungary could be the withdrawal of EU funds. He deduced this from the statement of Helena Dalli, the commissioner responsible for equal opportunities, according to which she will do everything possible to act against our country as against Poland: they block European funds paid to the government that have equal opportunities as a condition. However, while visibly pushing for the condemnation of Hungary, Anna Donáth also realized that the Hungarian people would see the consequences of this.
