According to information from Magyar Hírlap, the government is organizing one of, if not the biggest fireworks display of all time on August 20 this year.

Fireworks will be only one, but probably the most spectacular element of the programs organized in memory of the founding of the state and the founder of the state, King Szent István, since according to the plans, a pyrotechnic show is expected to be twice as long compared to two years ago (it was not possible to organize it last year due to the virus situation).

In contrast to previous events, this year, after the third wave of the coronavirus has been overcome , the numerous programs are divided into several days, so the celebration on August 20 will become a mini festival, far surpassing the plans of previous years.

According to the newspaper's information, unfortunately, for the first time in the history of the fireworks organized on the occasion of the founding of the state, the Chain Bridge will be left out of the shooting locations, because it cannot be organized due to the hiccups of the capital led by Gergely Karácsony.

The left-liberal city administration refused to allow light painting, so the Chain Bridge will not be included in the programs even as a simple visual element.

The government, however, decided that the unprecedented Christmas-style festivity would not hinder the huge celebration, extending the "viewing area" on the previously used section of the Danube, which this year will extend from the Margaret Bridge to the Petőfi Bridge.
