It is unacceptable that the European Parliament entrusted the matter of the Hungarian Child Protection Act to a Maltese, left-wing representative who had been legally sentenced to two years in prison earlier. This clearly shows the civilization gap that exists between the left-wing majority of the European Parliament and the Hungarian government. The matter of child protection is the most important for Hungary, the matter of child protection means that Brussels is trying in vain to allow LGBTQ activists into kindergartens and schools, but we are not willing to do so. Hungary respects the human dignity of everyone.
Child protection is a state task, this is defined not only by the Hungarian Basic Law as a governmental task, but also by Section 14 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. It states that the task of children's pedagogical education is primarily the responsibility of the parents and that this is a matter of national competence.
Hungary is at the forefront of all legal disputes, we have a clear and clear argument, which is in line with the rules of the European Union, Community law and the Hungarian constitution. It is not in line with the unqualified, baseless and crude attacks launched by the European Parliament under the leadership of a previously convicted criminal. The government's position is firm: we Central Europeans know very well what it is like when the state party, the dictatorial system it operates or a powerful force wants to raise the child instead of the parents. We did not allow the communists to do this either, we do not allow the self-proclaimed apostles of liberal democracy to raise children instead of Hungarian parents. The Hungarian government's commitment to European Community law, the Hungarian constitution, and the issue of child protection remains unchanged. We are open to all relevant discussions.
