Just as Niedermüller chased Pesti TV or the 100-member gypsy band out of Erzsébetváros, the leftist mayor of Józsefváros, András Pikó, did the same with the Flag Museum. In vain, everything that is tradition, culture and Hungarian is the enemy of the opposition.
The residents of the district can also enjoy many other "fruits" of Piko's blessed actions. He was the one who "replaced" the limited liability company responsible for public catering with a foreign-owned enterprise, in whose kitchen the inspection found raw materials of unknown origin and spoiled food. He took the 13th monthly bonus from the district's social and health workers and succeeded in making Józsefváros the old, messy "nyócker" again. The homeless do what they want now, drug addicts can come too, no one bothers them.
The flag museum, on the other hand, bothered Piko.
Máté Kocsis , the former mayor of the district, announced on his social media page that it was possible to save the ravaged museum. He wrote in his post:
"We came together to save the Flag Museum. Mayor András Pikó closed it, but with the help of the government, we moved the collection to the Trade and Hospitality Museum. There is a big difference between the left and the right: they are interested in destruction, we are interested in saving value."
